The program in the private space begins with LE 15/8. A young Finnish woman looking for work in Paris once stayed at Szlingerbaum’s apartment, where she talked incessantly. Not without an audience: Szlingerbaum and Akerman recorded her torrent of speech on tape and transcribed it, so that she could then read it aloud herself. The title refers to the day of filming. Though LE 15/8 foreshadows much of Akerman’s later films, it has remained largely unknown and has almost never been shown in Germany.
